“There’s no room for negotiation on this matter, or else they wouldn’t be lying there.”
“Why bother? No matter what, I can’t let you leave alive. Assuming we took you, your situation wouldn’t be as composed as now,” Connolly said,
“After all, you have a family to take care of and an unborn child to raise. Would you really give up your family and life for the sake of the Central Guards Brigade?”
Lin Yi walked a few steps diagonally forward and picked up the Dagger from the ground.
“Though it is said ‘every man for himself, or heaven and earth will perish,’ a person must live with some convictions. Even if it means death today, I will take a few of you down with me.”

“And one more thing you should understand, if I die here, your Freemasons won’t fare well either. I consider any of you who live until next Christmas lucky. So take this as advice: you don’t have to sacrifice your lives for the Freemasons.”
