Both the academies were pissed. That very moment, orders were given to all the third grade members. The elders asked the team members to send any members that they could spare. All the backup teams from various realms were summoned.
And they were all given only one order.
To get to the Phoenix planet and kill the gambler academy students.
Of course, it took some time to do all of this and the Gambler academy did indeed have some free time on their hands.
Sam took this chance to explore the place. He was very interested in this planet from the start and he had some assumptions about how it would be.

It had the regeneration ability just like the Blood iron, but it is far ahead.
Almost all the metals are on part with the meteorite sand that could grow. And the base strength of these metals is at a third grade level. Sam doubted he would be able to manufacture stuff with this that easily.
Just using normal third grade and fourth grade metals with the help of others and building the hub had cost him a lot of time, effort and energy, processing these metals would take much more.
And he was glad about it.
Apart from the metals, one thing that impressed Sam more are the skeletons.
The skeletons of the phoenixes. And he did find them. They weren't out in the open sprawled for everyone to see, but they were under the surface. Skeletons of various sizes based on the level of phoenix when it reached its end.
The bones of the phoenix are incredibly strong. They can be used to make many things. They are excellent raw materials. Sam unearthed many skeletons and stored them away. More than a dozen of them.
Even though he found some with pretty high level, someone on the same level as the Thunder Phoenix skeleton he had in his possession from way back when, none of them were on par with the Variant Hydra skeleton he had.

They didn't understand even half of them. But Sam assured them they would work and they were content with it.
Soon, that day passed and the next day, the opponent forces started gathering their forces and sent them to the planet. There were dozens of academy students and hundreds of external forces.
Both academies even placed bounties on the heads of the gambler team inside the planet.
That was only the effect inside this planet. Something else is happening outside as well. But the team was in no position to care about that.
Instead they targeted the incoming opponents.
The first type of targeting, the initial wave of attacks the gambler academy delivered, was instant reaction.

Sam's bird puppet network and communication system along with the markers that allowed for instant transfer, this mode of attack was made possible.

They will use markers to reach the nearest place at the fastest speed. They were all provided with all the possible ambush points, resources needed to execute the ambush and even the detailed plan on how to ambush them based on the location.
The cherry on the top was the detailed information of every third grade student of the two academies.

The fire birds bring their prey and deposit them into the flames. The flames carrying all the spiritual energy and divine energy from the prey, will be absorbed by the fire bird.

So, when the fire spread out, the fire birds were angry. Mostly because their new kids who cannot sustain by themselves, now didn't have their source of food.
They obviously went to the spoit where the flame is of the highest concentration.
