Chapter 1163 Franz Winsor
Chapter 1163 Franz Winsor
Another thing that caught Izroth's attention was the Twelve Minds Eye Pill.
It was a pill that increased one's focus—even more so when crafting. However, the part that interested Izroth was the fact that one could split their mind up to twelve times. By doing so, the person who consumed the Twelve Minds Eye Pill would be able to perform one task as twelve or twelve tasks as one.
'To be called a masterpiece by the system... If the Twelve Minds Eye Pill is what I believe it to be, then it's a pill that far surpasses that of a grand five or even a grade six pill. Currently, it might be the closest thing to a grade ten pill any player has ever seen.'
Izroth had yet to see the effects of higher grade pills, so he could not be absolutely certain. But, all signs pointed that the fact that the Twelve Minds Eye Pill was not something to be underestimated.
As Izroth looked over the items in his inventory, he realized that one of the rewards he was supposed to receive was missing.
'Nature's Preservation—it says that I've received it. But, I don't see it anywhere in my inventory.'
Just as this thought crossed Izroth's mind, the entire trial dungeon shook.
〈System Alert: All players will be teleported outside of the trial dungeon in 10 seconds!〉
〈System Alert: This trial dungeon will soon cease to exist!〉
"What's happening? Is this place going to be destroyed?" Steel Mountain inquired with furrowed brows.
"All these precious materials before our eyes, yet we can't take a single one with us..! What a waste..!" Mystic Lock sighed as he shook his head.
"Indeed, it feels somewhat regrettable to just leave everything behind. I suppose it is one of those things that are too good to be true." Autumn Winds commented.
"It's a shame that we're unable to take anything from this garden. But, we're still walking away with a huge payout this time around. It's unfortunate, but there's nothing we can do about the rules of the trial dungeon. Even if the rules no longer apply, ten seconds isn't enough to collect anything." Haishe stated.
It would be a lie if Haishe said that he was not disappointed by the fact that he had to leave so many precious resources behind. A part of him was hoping that the trial dungeon would remain so that he could send herbalists to collect the resources in this place.
"I messed up this time around. I should've reserved one of the slots for a herbalist for this trial dungeon. If not for Palace Master Izroth, things would have ended on a sour note. He really upheld his promise. This kind of person—it's better to have him as a friend rather than an enemy." Haishe thought to himself as he glanced over at Izroth.
If it were another player, Haishe would try to use resources and wealth to win Izroth over. However, while he could offer a few precious treasures, compared to the wealth behind the Mystical Realm Palace, it would come off as more of an insult than anything.
〈System Alert: You are now being teleported outside of the trial dungeon!〉
Zeeeeut!
In the blink of an eye, Haishe and the other party members were teleported outside. However, during this time, something unexpected happened. The shaking of the trial dungeon abruptly stopped. More importantly, Izroth, had not yet been teleported outside of the trial dungeon.
'I'm the only one who wasn't teleported out. Did something go wrong with the teleportation?'
As this thought entered Izroth's mind, a bundle of golden energy began to gather a few meters in front of him. There was something familiar yet foreign about the golden energy.
Izroth observed the bundle of golden energy with his Energy Vision Sense. He did not detect anything unusual or dangerous about it. However, it was still a trial dungeon left in place by a grade ten Apothecary; therefore, he still remained cautious.
In a breath, the golden energy materialized and formed into a humanoid figure. And, as the golden energy dispersed, the humanoid figure turned into an actual person.
"It has been over a thousand years since I placed this legacy. After all this time, I finally get to meet you—my successor." An alluring and soothing voice sounded.
The person who appeared before Izroth was a gorgeous woman who seemed to be in her late twenties to early thirties. She had long dark violet hair that was tied up neatly in a ponytail and wore a thin pair of glasses. She possessed a pair of dazzling light purple eyes and had a beauty mark under the right side of her eye. She wore an extravagant set of robes that added to her mystical aura and carried the pure scent of high quality herbs.
'This is... I see. Success—she must be the owner of this trial dungeon, Franz Winsor. No, rather, it must be a fragment left behind similar to the one Tal'Nis placed in the crusade.'
"My name is Francine Winsorevetta. But, those who know me in the world of Apothecaries will be more familiar with my other name—Franz Winsor. What is your name, young Apothecary?" Franz said with a soft smile as she set her gaze on Izroth.
"I am called Izroth. It is a pleasure to meet the owner of this trial dungeon." Izroth responded calmly.
"Oh? Not bad." Franz commented with a small nod.
She then continued, "You are not what I expected when I had a successor in mind. But, I cannot deny your talent. The method for the Spiraling Flames Pill that you applied—I did not think anyone else besides me, its original creator, would be able to use that method. On top of that, you already have Source. That, combined with the willpower and insight you possess, as long as nothing unexpected occurs, you will eventually become a grade ten Apothecary through your own means."
"Your evaluation of me is too low. I have no intention of just stopping there." Izroth stated with a carefree expression on his face.
Izroth's words caused Franz Winsor's brows to rise in surprise. The next moment, her lips curved into a lovely smile.
"I see. How foolish of me. You are right. That place may be the end for others. But, for people like us, it is just the beginning." Franz Winsor said.
Izroth's goal was to reach the pinnacle of this world. If he wanted to do so, it was not enough to stop at becoming a grade ten Apothecary. He had to find a way to go beyond that and achieve what has never been achieved before.
"Since you teleported the others out and kept me in this place, I assume you have something to discuss with me. Or, rather, is it a request?" Izroth inquired.
When he completed the crusade, Tal'Nis asked him to look for her descendants.
'Could it be that she has a similar request?'
"Under normal circumstances, this fragment of my will should not appear. However, these are anything but normal circumstances. Originally, as long as one reached the end and passed the fifth trial, the others would be teleported out, while the one who passed will be left behind. This is to prevent others from coveting what is theirs before they are strong enough to protect it." Franz Winsor explained.
The moment those words left her mouth, something bizarre started to take place in the garden.
Above the garden, a small black vortex appeared. From the precious liquids, plants and even what was hiding in difficult to find places, the vortex immediately started to suck in all the materials in the garden!
'I see. That's why I didn't receive that item yet. She's rather thoughtful.'
Izroth was not worried about others coveting what belonged to him. After all, he was more than confident of his strength to protect what was his. However, the same could not be said for others. Greed was something inevitable when it came to resources of this scale.
This garden was something easily comparable- No, it probably surpassed that contained within the secret vaults of any kingdom in the Mortal Realm. If one were to walk around carrying that kind of treasure and it was known, there would be an endless amount of trouble.
As the vortex finished sucking in the last bit of materials, it transformed into a circular golden band with an intricate design.
Woosh!
The band flew toward Izroth and automatically entered into his inventory.
"Nature's Preservation contains all the herbs and resources in my garden. Feel free to use them as you please, for you are now their official owner." Franz Winsor said.
She then continued, "While the materials in that item are yours, there is a great favor I must ask you. For now, you can consider Nature's Preservation and the resources within the first of my gifts."
"What's the request? If you're willing to give me all the resources in this place, it must be a rather troublesome one." Izroth pointed out.
