Chapter 3673: Point of No Return I
Chapter 3673: Point of No Return I
Inside a Gateway Domus swirling with ten Wild True Sources, the holder of the True Source of Asche began wiping out the Dead Things he had drawn in over the years.
They arrived at the doorways and would see his figure, knowing he was too powerful for them to attack and overcome.
But since he never attacked, and they could remain inside the Domus to devour Wild True Sources constantly... they stayed and did so.
Carefully.
Or so they believed.
But their time was limited- they were simply lambs being led to slaughter. And now, the slaughter had begun as seas of ash swirled around the Dead Things, breaking down their True Sources in terrifying ways because even that which was dead… turned to ash.
As this occurred in one Gateway Domus…
In another, a Wild True Source of Oxidation descended from above, coming to layer itself upon the Wild True Sources of Verbum, Fear, and Causality.
Wherever this True Source passed, existence degraded. Corrosion swept through anything that was or could be as if any weak True Source of Existence came close, it would rust and decay unfathomably fast.
It was a terrifying True Source to encounter, and it made its descent into the same Gateway Domus that Noah, the Great Beyonder, and Veyl'Aethra occupied.
Its arrival drew the raging auras of three Dead Things, howling with the kind of baleful fury only those who missed something vital could emit.
They had missed their chance to enter the genuine wheel of existence.
Because the protector of the previous Domus had returned to the folds of the wheel itself, and two "lucky" Dead Things had managed to follow the Origin Singed down that path.
But these three had not.
So they came now- late, furious, and full of spite as Noah and the Great Beyonder looked at each other.
In a distant place, their weavings intertwined as Noah continued Eclipse Merging—Dual Evolution. Their Purity surged, and the Great Beyonder pushed herself to stabilize at the threshold of a Quasi-Resplendent Monad.
And at that moment- she chose to reveal it.
She asked herself- What does it mean to step into the stage of a Quasi-Resplendent Monad?
The answer was Purity.
When the Purity of one's True Source reached a certain threshold, it shone with terrifying radiance. Deep within her, her identity crystallized into a singular emblem.
A Mythic True Signature formed entirely from her True Source of Runes.
It was as if she had crafted a second self, born of incomprehensible purity. And though it remained within her…
"Come out."
She spoke with quiet command, her eyes flashing. From the depths of her being, a dazzling, illusory obsidian-gold form erupted.
It was massive- so immense that its conceptual size dwarfed understanding.
A manifestation of her identity- an illusory titan made of black-gold light hovered above her, expanding to the length of an entire Omniverse.
Next to it, her physical body seemed insignificant.
But her Mythic True Signature…was everything!
And perhaps the most astonishing part- she barely needed to exert any Authority to manifest it.
Her signature was no different than a human smiling or waving. Just a natural expression of who she was.
So the Great Beyonder let it shine.
The massive signature towered above her, taking the form of a dark-haired woman whose presence radiated unfathomable beauty and power. She gazed down upon the three oncoming Dead Things, who raged and roared, throwing out their True Sources in blind fury.
But the Great Beyonder's Mythic True Signature opened its mouth and dominance rolled out like a storm. Quintillions of Runes erupted like a beam of reality-shattering light, slamming toward all three Dead Things.
BOOM!
The Dead Things recoiled.
The Mythic Signature had formed so quickly, they couldn't dodge it. The obsidian pillar of brilliance consumed them near-instantly.
Their Dead True Sources screamed like fresh flesh sizzling in boiling oil.
Collapse surged through them.
Quintillions of Runes pierced their True Sources, unraveling everything that made them them.
And within those Runes…was heat.
The heat of Flames.
Eclipse Merging.
Dual Evolution.
The design of the True Severed Origin Osmontian wasn't just a dual cultivation method. It was a way to evolve True Sources and to transform their very essence. To evolve them!
And now, the Beyonder's True Source of Runes displayed a new quality.
It roared with a penetrating glare, cutting through all three Dead Things simultaneously. It was about to cleave them in half…until a voice stopped it.
"Leave a shred of their Source intact. I have uses for them…"
Noah's voice rang out with calm finality. The Great Beyonder's eyes flashed as she commanded her Mythic Signature to obey.
It cleaved their bodies, leaving them split in half- just enough of their True Sources still pulsing in the distance.
The terrifying pillar of Runes remained as from within it, a single Rune pulsed white-gold and ignited, shaping into the figure of Noah.
…!
He had warped across the span of an entire Omniverse to appear beside the three decimated Dead Things. His chest radiated as three white-gold tendrils burst out, wrapping around their crumbling forms and dragging them into his chest.
Their Dead True Sources had no resistance left. They'd been shredded by the storm of Runes, nearly collapsing into oblivion.
So from Noah, the Cradle of Purity emerged- its tendrils searing with light. They coiled around the Dead Things like celestial chains and yanked them into his chest.
Then…they vanished.
…!
It took a a while to describe.
But in reality, everything had occurred in a single second- from the Great Beyonder's signature unveiling that released a magnificent Mythic True Signature, to Noah's sudden appearance near the decimated Dead Things, to the moment the three Dead Things were dragged into his chest into the Cradle of Purity!
One second.
And the collapse of three Dead Things was complete.
"…"
Silence followed.
A crushing, awe-filled stillness blanketed the Gateway Domus as Veyl'Aethra- and even the other Dead Things still exerting their power around the Wild True Sources- froze and stared!
