Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 3674: Point of No Return II

Chapter 3674: Point of No Return II

Three Dead Things- cleared in a second.

And these particular three weren't just any Dead Things. They came from a new Gateway, seething with rage- rage that stemmed from missing their chance to enter the folds of the Wheel of Existence.

But all of that fury?

It meant absolutely nothing when their Dead True Sources collapsed instantly!

Veyl'Aethra stared up, stunned, eyes locked on the impossibly massive Mythic True Signature swirling above them.

"That... how did you manage to achieve that?"

His voice was dazed. So were his weavings. He knew the kind of power the Great Beyonder commanded- but he had no explanation for how she had gone from releasing Pillars of Concordance… to a Mythic True Signature.

The Great Beyonder's face didn't so much as flinch. Her gaze was fixed on Noah- the distant figure who had just absorbed three Dead Things into his chest like it was the most natural thing in the world.

She couldn't explain exactly what she had done- or what she was still doing, hidden within the privacy of an Amarantos Dream deep in the Weavings of the Wheel.

But her eyes carried a sharpness. A caution.

A message pulsed outward to Noah.

"You've revealed so many different things in such a short time that maybe I don't even need to ask. But… did you really just draw in the remnants of the Dead True Sources of those three?"

Her voice was calm, but edged in disbelief.

"Life and death don't mix. I've heard of many who've faced Fractal Collapse just for trying to devour incompatible Wild True Sources—much less Dead Things. But you already know that."

She said it because she had to. Because no matter how much she believed in the power of the one who had opened up new pathways of power, what he was doing defied reason.

And if he didn't speak up before doing things like this, it could come off as nothing short of absurd.

She didn't wait for his reply. After all they'd shared, she already knew the answer.

"You're not going to tell me that what happens to others- collapse, corruption, taint- won't apply to you, even though you just devoured the remnants of three Dead True Sources of Existence, right?"

…!

She said it anyway.

And from the distance, Noah's only reply was a smile.

The Great Beyonder sighed as silence hung between them. Then, her Mythic True Signature turned toward the other Dead Things still prowling their Gateway Domus.

"Since someone unfathomable and impossible to understand has arrived… it's time this Gateway was cleared of all Dead Things that have been plaguing it for far too long."

…!

Her Mythic True Signature glared down with glacial resolve and brilliant cold fury.

No matter what their Dead True Sources represented.

No matter how many millions of years they had wandered across Infinite Ravines- or what lay beyond them.

In that moment, the Great Beyonder, newly ascended, struck to annihilate.

Meanwhile, the one who had set all of this in motion was facing wonders of his own, deep within the Weavings of Existence.

His main body was etching the final and most powerful System of Existence within the Ninth Mundi of Power.

Something else hadn't been planned, but it was happening as thanks to his design of a third Mechanic of Ascension through Eclipse Merging- Dual Evolution, he achieved something even faster.

The Pathway to the True Source of Runes has been thoroughly walked and understood through the merging of true flames into the definition of Runes within the Great Beyonder.

Your own definition of Runes has been completed.

The True Source of Runes blooms to fruition.

HUUM!

Who said Dual Cultivation held no power?

Who said one couldn't attain a True Source through it?

Well, there were many prerequisites. But Noah had met them. And in this moment, through a new companionship, he attained another True Source of Existence.

His Weavings burned anew, stepping forward in complexity once more.

And that wasn't all.

A newly born Affix began to bloom.

Three Dead True Sources of Existence have been pulled into the Cradle of Purity.

The Dead True Sources are deemed Moderate in Complexity, and Below Average in Purity.

Refinement and Purification of the Three Dead True Sources has begun.

The Cradle of Purity lit up with fantastical brilliance. And while this process unfolded, Noah was also devouring two more Dead True Sources- those he'd battled alongside the Origin Singed.

But there was one more his Weavings were reaching for.

A being far stronger than any Harmonized Sourcebound Icon Noah had faced.

This one was returning to power.

He was healing- regaining strength and edging closer and closer past Harmonized Sourcebound Icon.

His name was Bob!

Trapped in the True Frequency of the Singed, his body bound inside an endless prison of Ruination. Noah's tendrils had already pierced the prison's walls—nibbling at the brilliance of Khaos.

Bob's cold eyes turned toward them.

He wasn't like other enemies- ones that could be overpowered and discarded easily in a single fight. Bob held the True Source of Khaos and, horrifyingly, an Absolute Complex True Source- even if it was a Dead one.

A black Wheel of Existence floated behind him.

His final card. His last move.

And if he used it to break free from this prison….he knew. Even Bob knew he would forfeit his right to fight for the depths of the Wheel of Existence where he believed an answer to where The Loom was existed!

His journey… would end.

The realization cut through him like truth. And Bob spoke.

"Many, many dangerous things happen…when someone's pushed to desperation."

…!

His voice always had weight.

Even now, he made the norm feel unnatural and dangerous.

And as he spoke, obsidian stellar seas of the True Source of Existence intruded upon the prison of Ruination. Alongside them, a new True Source bloomed as billions of golden Runes exploded into reality.

Runes.

Gold and glorious.

Gold and resplendent.

Bob's eyes widened as the Runes crashed down around him. He understood once more that Noah was coming for everything- to devour and take everything he held!

All paths.

All exits.

And that... drove him to the edge of true desperation.

"You're pulling out True Sources from your arse like it's the easiest thing in the world," Bob voiced out. "More and more signs that this Wheel of Existence might actually be the one that holds that piece of the puzzle. And since I can't reach it, since you've pushed me this far…I can only say that whatever comes next…you engineered it. You made it possible."

…!

Three True Sources of Existence clashed around him.

And at that moment, Bob's black Wheel of Existence materialized. His body overlapped with it, settling in its very core, tentacle-like limbs gripping the outer rims of the Dead Absolute Complex True Source.

He closed his eyes.

Tears fell.

And in a voice cracked with time and longing, he called out to a soul nestled within the Wheel.

"Wait just a little bit longer for Dad to get you, okay?"

…!

A small soul stirred at the center of the Wheel, hearing a voice for the first time in millions of years.

And after that… incandescent brilliance erupted all around him.
